What is a Catdet?

Catdets are Jupiter community members who have shown consistent dedication to helping others, experimenting with DeFi and getting active in the Jupiter Community. The Catdet role is currently reflected on Jupiter Discord but encompasses community contributors across every corner of the Jupiverse – whether on X, Reddit, jupresear.ch, or IRL communities. Still, Discord tends to be the center of Jupiverse communication.

Ok great - so how do I BECOME a Catdet?

Get active in chats, try to help new users, and embrace the Catdet Ethos. Cats of Culture will notice your contributions over time, and will be able to give you the role. First priority - just have fun, vibe, and don't be shy. Catdets and CoC's can show you appreciation using the tool, and getting appreciated is one way to show up in the community. You will be noticed, I promise!

What is a Cat of Culture?

Cats of Culture are Catdets who have gone above and beyond the already high Catdet standard to build the Jupiter community and assist others. CoCs are regarded as Catdet community leaders and are held to the highest standards of knowledge and participation. They help guide the community's direction and are often the first people the team and workgroups go to for advice on important community matters.

How are CoCs Selected?

Cats of Culture are elected through a community voting process. The journey begins organically as Catdets demonstrate exceptional dedication and leadership in the community. At least 80% of current CoCs must vote in favor for a nomination to pass. Learn more about the CoC voting process
